Land Between the Lakes &
Patti’s 1880’s Settlement
Grand Rivers, Kentucky
This day out in the Jeep for a pavement ride was into Kentucky out of Tennessee. We had a great time with the group which we now also call friends. We drove through and visited a small portion of Land between the lakes, driving the Woodlands Trace, and ended with a late lunch at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement.
Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area consists of more than 170,000 acres of forests, wetlands, and open lands on a peninsula between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley in Western Kentucky and Tennessee. As part of America’s great outdoors since 1963, this family friendly recreation destination offers one of the largest contiguous blocks of undeveloped forest in the eastern United States.
Patti's 1880's Settlement in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, is an award-winning, 12-acre log cabin village that offers the perfect blend of historic charm, famous Southern comfort food, and family-friendly entertainment. Having recently been to Texas, we can tell you the portions at Patti’s are every bit the equal of those in TX.
